Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our boutique dessert shop. This role focuses on customer service, product presentation, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.

 

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers.

• Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences regarding merchandise.

• Demonstrate and explain merchandise, recommending options that fit the customer's needs.

• Answer customers' questions about merchandise.

• Assist customers with purchase decisions.

• Retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations; place special orders as needed.

• Collect payment using the store's point-of-sale system.

• Process returns and exchanges.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous retail experience preferred.

• On-the-job training provided.

 

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
